How your website is priced

The first page carries the design: colors, layout, phone and computer versions, Google setup and your contact form. Every page after that uses the same design, so it costs less.

Don't want a care plan?

That's fine. You pay for the build, half to start and half when your website goes live. You get your website files and host it on your own account, and any changes later are quoted when you need them. $0 down isn't available without a care plan, since the build is paid off through the plan.

Built to stay safe

Your website is built as plain, finished pages. There's no WordPress, no plugins and no server code running behind it, so there's nothing for a hacker to break into and nothing you ever have to update.

Need more than pages, like booking, payments or a shop? Each one is added as its own small, separate piece, using trusted services like Stripe for payments. If one piece ever has a problem, the rest of your website keeps running.

How change requests work

One request is everything you send in a single message. You get 3 a month on any plan.

“New hours, new phone number, and these 6 photos” counts as one request.

Quoted work always comes with a price first. Nothing is charged until you say yes.

The agreement

  1. What you get. Foundation Code hosts your website and makes small changes to it each month, as listed below.
  2. Change requests. Your plan includes up to 3 change requests per calendar month. One request is everything you send in a single message. Unused requests do not carry over.
  3. Included changes. Updating text, hours, prices, phone, address and email. Adding or swapping photos in existing galleries or project sections, up to about 10 photos per month. Adding, removing or rewording items in existing lists, such as services or team members. Banners and announcements. Seasonal themes.
  4. Quoted work. These are not included and are quoted separately before any work starts: new pages; new sections that need new design; new features such as booking, payments, logins, new form fields or connections to other services; redesigns; logos; writing more than a short paragraph of new content; and any request past the 3rd in a month. You approve the price before work begins.
  5. Preview first. Every change is shown to you on a preview link before it goes live.
  6. Fixes. If something we built stops working, we fix it at no charge, and it does not count as a request.
  7. Turnaround. Included changes are usually done within 2 business days.
  8. Billing. The plan bills automatically each month. You can cancel any time; service runs to the end of the paid month.
  9. Your website is paid for separately. Building your website is a one-time price, paid in full before it goes live, and paying up front gets your first 2 months of care free. This care plan only covers hosting and changes after that. If your website was built on a $0-down monthly plan instead, that plan has a 12-month minimum, and the build is paid off over those 12 months.
  10. If you leave. You own your domain. Once your website build is paid in full, we give you a copy of your website files when you cancel, and you can point your domain to any host you choose. If you cancel a $0-down plan before the 12 months are up, you can pay the rest of the build balance and take your files, or simply leave, and the website comes down.
  11. Request log. We keep a dated record of every request and how it was handled, and will share it on request.

Questions

What counts as a change request?

Anything you send in one message. Batch your changes together and they count as one.

What if something breaks?

If it is something we built, we fix it free. That never counts as a request.

Will I see changes before they go live?

Yes. Every change goes to a preview link first, marked so it is clear it is not live yet. It goes live after you say it looks good.

Can I cancel?

Any time. Service runs to the end of the month you paid for. Once your website is paid in full, you get a copy of your website files to take anywhere.

Who owns my domain?

You do, always. It is registered in your name, on your account.
